What makes Acai Berries unique?

Acai contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin C, Vitamin E (tocopherol), iron, potassium, phosphorus and calcium. It also contains the essential fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 9, all the essential amino acids, and more protein than an average egg.

What really sets Acai apart from the berry/fruit products is the antioxidant content. Studies show that Acai has up to 33 times the antioxidant content as red wine grapes. When compared to wolfberry, noni and mangosteen juice products, Acai is 6X more powerful in terms of antioxidant content.

The Nutrients in Acai:

The fiber content is approximately 44% of the total fruit mass, making it one of the most fiber rich fruits.

They are one of the highest sources of antioxidants. You need antioxidants to counter free radicals which are formed when things oxidise. We are exposed to them through pollution and certain foods that have been exposed to high temperatures like processed vegetable oils, milk powder, powdered eggs etc. They are also formed naturally in you body as cells utilise glucose for energy, also called oxidisation. Free radicals are believed to speed up the aging process and may also contribute to cancer and other health problems if not balanced with antioxidants
